Bump q- hard as nails?!

I'm 37 weeks and today my bump has gone rock solid for a good few hours now.
I've never had any BH ( with this or last pregnancy ) and I've got no pain- just a very hard solid bump! It doesn't come and go like contractions- it's been like it all afternoon.

Baby is moving as normal and I know he is now head down.

Any ideas?!

I could have posted this exact same thing, but 26 weeks. Bump has been solid all day and feels "odd". Not painful and can feel baby move. I was wondering if baby had had a growth spurt but skin hadn't stretched enough yet? Sorry no help, but will be interested if anyone knows.

Defo sounds like braxton hicks!! Sometimes they last for ages.

Could well be baby having a good stretch out - either way all normal Smile
