Do you think hairiness is pregnancy indicates the sex?

I am quite hairy anyway but with dd I noticed no discernible difference in my hairiness during pregnancy. Then with ds it was almost the first sign of pregnancy - facial hair sprouted everywhere and was thicker and darker - was so bad it really made me very upset and consider never getting pregnant again. Three years passed however and I forgot, until now, when I have noticed if anything a slight lessening of my usual hairiness. Certainly more like pregnancy 1 than pregnancy 2. Just a coincidence or can I extrapolate that this pregnancy therefore also a girl? My mum says this is bollocks (so to speak) as the foetus won't have any sexual organs yet anyway.

Looking back I had all the classic old wives tales symptoms of having a boy - went off sweet things and grew very thick body hair! I didn't know what I was having until he was born.

And I'm fairly certain the sex is decided before reproductive organs appear!

It was true for me.

Yes I had this. I had to shave my legs far less often when I was pregnant with DD.

Nope, I am not hairy and expecting boy (confirmed by two seperate scans)

HazleNutt · 12/03/2015 11:05

My body hair basically stopped growing with both pregnancies. DS and DD.

No, I had to shave my legs far far less during my last pg (normally every day, but only had to 1-2 times a week), and had a boy.

I'm having a boy & have developed an extremely hairy stomach

PrincessOfChina · 12/03/2015 16:18

I'm much less hairy this time than I was with DD. I had a linea nigra with her too and don't have one this time. It's definitely a boy.

countessmarkyabitch · 12/03/2015 17:54

It's all boohockey. Neither hairyness or heartburn or bumpshape or cravings or any other of the many old wives tales can tell the sex of your foetus.

WhereIsMyFurryHat · 12/03/2015 17:58

My leg hair stopped growing with all three of my boys. All my other hairs grew as normal. Not sure about this time, I'm shaving enough to know yet. Ask me when the weather gets better.
