Get it sorted! Smile I'm only 30 weeks & my dp is harassing me into packing mine- I support your 'can't be bothered-ness'

carbolicsoaprocked · 11/03/2015 20:18

I was told 28 weeks?!?! Still not done mine, it's sitting with a few things in it though!

greenlizard · 11/03/2015 20:33

Ladies - pull your collective fingers out Grin

If you get caught short you will be relying on your OH to select stuff for you......

Jaffakake · 11/03/2015 20:35

I'm 37 weeks & it's still half done. Baby's is done though! I suppose that's motherhood!

weeblueberry · 11/03/2015 21:06

Yeah I'm 38 weeks with my second and just haven't got around to it. I know this time I won't be packing anywhere near as much as I did with my first through. Some sleepsuits, couple of vests, nappies, change of clothes and pjs for me. That's about it! Oh and toiletries. But I'm seriously crossing my fingers for a 6 hour discharge so hoping not to need much of it!!

Sorehead · 11/03/2015 21:12

Get it sorted!

My waters went at 37 weeks.....your bags being packed means one less thing to worry about if yours go unexpectedly too!

sunnydayinmay · 11/03/2015 21:45

I hadn't got round to it, and ds2 arrived at 36 weeks! I didn't even have a nappy, or any pants for me. DH had to go shopping at 4am.

BlueBananas · 11/03/2015 21:49

Argh you're all making me anxious! I was gradually packing mine from about 25 weeks!
Go and pack now! All of you!

rosepetalsoup · 11/03/2015 21:51

Ok. Will I need a towel, do you think?

I'm 30 weeks and have packed the baby stuff and bought everything needed for mine. I'll pack it all up in a few weeks.

gallicgirl · 11/03/2015 21:53

I packed mine around 37 weeks......and I'm having a home birth!

Come on, you don't need much.

scrivette · 11/03/2015 21:58

Yes add a towel, I had a shower a couple of hours after giving birth.

Don't attempt to pack with contractions every three minutes like I had to at 38 weeks. The only things I had packed beforehand were a couple of magazines and playing cards which most definitely were not needed!

rosepetalsoup · 11/03/2015 22:00

Ok point taken. I've done half of it while we've been Mnetting! And ordered some missing stuff online. I'll do the other half tomorrow.

I was 40+3 Blush. Tbf I had convinced myself if I packed it the baby would never come. Packed it after first contraction, had plenty of time though, DS arrived 40+6.

Mrscog · 11/03/2015 22:01

I'm nearly 35 weeks with DC2, have semi packed, much less organised than last time though! I think I have a nightie, maternity pads, nappies, a sleepsuit and a bag of dolly mixture so far. Should really refresh my memory of what I needed last time!

rosepetalsoup · 11/03/2015 22:03

Toothbrush / toothpaste etc?

I cannot find our camera charging lead anywhere.

BlueBananas · 11/03/2015 22:14

See this is why you need to pack early Grin
