Just wanted everyone's opinions. I am a dental nurse, and am quickly getting close to needing maternity scrubs. I am expecting twins and am already showing at 14 weeks, my normal scrubs are getting tight already.
my manager has said I need to look for the set of old maternity scrubs that are somewhere in the practice, (just the one set) and is getting very arsey at the prospect of getting a new set, never mind two.
is this legal? I'll be heavily pregnant in summer expected to cope on one set of scrubs to wash everyday.
am I being unreasonable or is this the norm?

Please help Smile

Disclaimer- I think not know! They should not be discriminating against you because you are pregnant, so you should have the same access to uniform as non pregnant staff. If they get two sets you should get two sets.

One set of scrubs! Ridiculous! I would be expecting your manager to purchase a few more sets for you

I'm a hca and get 2 tunics, surely as a dental nurse you need to be ultra hygienic? Speak to them again. You can't be washing it every day that's just not right!

Thanks everyone. I knew it wasn't right. I've read some more and really it's discrimination because I'm pregnant, as usually we are provided with two sets of scrubs.
