I am 20 weeks and have had damp underwear for a few weeks now. Not soaking or dripping, no smell but always damp. Very occasionally I feel something coming out like with a period. I had just assumed this was discharge and ignored it.

However, I have just read it could be amniotic fluid leaking slowly and feel a bit freaked out! I have my 20 week scan tomorrow so do you think it's safe to leave this till then or do I need to get this checked out today? What is the likelihood that it's that versus normal pregnancy discharge?

It would be good to get your thoughts and anyone else's experiences

For me, It was always a fair bit, I was having to wear pads and change my underwear and then on one day it went through to my jeans. It turned out to be a slow leak from my Hind waters and not my main waters, which has now rectified itself.

The wetness started around 18 weeks, all was fine in my 20 week scan, and was then picked up a few weeks later as I have had to have regular internal scans due to an issue with my cervix, the internal scans showed a few pockets of fluid. I'm now 29 weeks and haven't had a leak since about week 24.
