Don't know how far on I am....

I have my booking appointment on 18th March but I'm not sure how far on I am and I'm concerned that it will be too late to do the NT test by the time I have my first scan.
After coming off the pill in June last year my periods got lighter and lighter until in December I had some light spotting for about 2 hours and then it disappeared. I didn't have a period at all in January.
Found out I was pregnant at beginning of Feb.
When I go to my booking appointment next week this will make me anywhere up to 13 weeks.
If I have to wait 4 weeks for a scan like I did last time this will make me potentially 17 weeks. I believe this is too late for NT screening?
Do you think I'll be prioritised for a scan or do you think they'll make me wait?
Any ideas or experience welcome.
TIA.

I'd call your community midwife team and explain the situation. You could also go to your gp and explain and see if they will refer you to the early pregnancy unit for a dating scan. Congrats on your pg!

Morning,

I'm genuinely not sure but it might be worth going for a private scan in the meantime so that you know where you're at? That way when you see your midwife you can explain how far along you are and that you need to be pushed ahead if possible to allow for screening.

I explained to them when I called to make my appointment a few weeks ago but they just didn't seem to care.
Any idea how to go about a private scan. I have Googled places in my area but they will only do it after anomaly scan. Can you go privately through a hospital?

Search for private viability or early pregnancy scan. They are widely available.

I would try to get the appointment brought forward and explain the reasons. The gp may also refer you for an early scan if you saw them. I'm sort of in a similar situation, I came off the pill late last year and found out I was pregnant in January. My lmp was December 20th. I paid for a private scan and it put me back a week. When I saw the midwife for my booking appointment she said to go off my lmp not the scan so it may not be worth spending the money until you speak with her.
