When does everyone start to buy stuff? My husband is already buying stuff. We have 3 bags of clothes and he wants to go and look at pushchairs etc this weekend. I'm excited but I want to wait till after the 12 week scan. Xxx

I'm 27 weeks and haven't started shopping yet.

I buy most stuff after they are born.

They don't need much, and shopping is easy.

I have usually started getting the odd thing from 28 weeks or so but that was basics for me, outgrowing my trousers by then so bought a bump band, some soft bras and a nightie etc. stuff for pregnancy felt ok to do.

With my first pregnancy, I waited until I was around 35 weeks pregnant to go and buy pram, cot, and clothing. I worried throughout the pregnancy that I may lose the baby, and didn't want to rush out buying stuff. I was 41+6 when I gave birth.

Just remembered I ordered our pram at 39 weeks, next delivery Smile. DD was born at 41+6.

I am waiting until at least after the 20 week scan, we are saving up so I am excited about the idea of going on a bit of a baby spending spree!
