I started about 22 weeks by collecting the hand me downs from my family, that's at I didn't re-buy anything I already had. X

I'm waiting until at least my 20 week scan before buying anything. First baby and I'm paranoid that something will go wrong. Doing lots of planning though!

PebbleFrog · 09/03/2015 20:01

I'm the same koala
26+6, but yet to buy anything. We're visiting Dh's sister this weekend and collecting lots of hand me downs from her. Maybe once they're in the house, it'll spur me on to get started...
Just don't want to be surrounded by baby stuff any sooner than I have to be!

28+5 haven't stopped buying. Got everything now as had stuff given to me too

Koalafications · 09/03/2015 20:41

You are making me feel guilty applecore

I don't even know where to start, I don't even know what I should get...

I haven't even packed my hospital bag. In fact I haven't even bought a hospital bag.

I bought my first things a few weeks ago, am now 14 weeks and tentatively buying bits here and there. You're so much further ahead, I really hope you have some serious shopping fun now Smile

applecore0317 · 09/03/2015 20:54

LOL don't feel guilty,I just can't resist a sale. Haven't Thought about my hospital bag either, will probably start sorting that when I get to 34 weeks

I started with buying little bits and then got the bigger bits sorted, bought a crib, already have a moses basket. Cot was in the sale as was the travel system, was given a breast pump and play mat.

IdaClair · 09/03/2015 21:39

I don't buy until later on, prefer 34 weeks onward really. But then I buy Christmas presents in December as well.

I never did pack a hospital bag in any of my pregnancies.

I made the most of the jan sales, only 20+1 and pretty much ready Blush started off buying small bits that could go to charity if anything went wrong, then parents offered to buy crib while home (work away and not back till after birth) and pram had £160 saving so got that last week. I'm always an organised freak tho. Enjoy shopping

pinkie1982 · 10/03/2015 13:57

I bought the big stuff in the sales after Xmas at 13 weeks, then buying bits and pieces as I go along. I have almost finished - the things I realise I need anyway!

TheSingingMonkey · 10/03/2015 14:01

I didn't buy anything with either pregnancies until after my 20 week scan and I knew everything was ok.

Didn't pack a hospital bag with DS1 until the day I went into labour.

HazleNutt · 10/03/2015 15:25

around 25 weeks, but only because I was in the US and could not resist the bargains. Most things were bought after 35 weeks.

with pram and any electrical stuff, wait as long as you can, as the warranty starts from purchase.

NickyEds · 10/03/2015 20:07

I stared buying stuff after the 20 week scan with ds. He was due at Christmas and the run up was my busy time with work (I was self employed) so i got everything bought and nursery painted and ready by October. We still ended up shopping on Christmas eve as he came a few days early and was smaller than we expected. Best laid plans and all....
