My partner is freaking out bless,
I'm 36 weeks this coming tuesday, but today since 12 i've had nasty period type pains and i've (TMI) pooped four times since then, which is very unusual for me and it has gone from firm, to loose.
I had colostrum make its first appearance two days ago too.
I'm completely chilled out, had a nice long warm bath, i've had paracetamol which generally i wouldn't bother with but the period pain is quiet strong and baby is having a party in there. I also keep needing to pee and have crackin acid!
My stomach's gone hard a few times which i think is just stronger braxton hicks, but partner is googling every bloody symptom and has convinced himself i'm in the 'latent phase'.

He wants me to call the midwife, i don't feel 'cooked' - aaaaaaanyone feel like being a mediator haha

Hmm, sounds like you could be starting labour. It might also be a urine infection though so keep an eye on the peeing.

Could be labour, could be nothing. I think we sometimes forget that the dads-to-be are going through it all too alongside us. If he is worried and wants some reassurance from the midwife would it be so bad to call? You can speak to labour ward 24hrs a day and if things are a bit unsettled right now with potential pre-labour signs at less than 36 weeks, they'd definitely be happy to speak to you.

I understand he wants some reassurrance, but i'd like to think he'd trust my judgement with my own body more than anything - he think's i'd be daft enough to ignore cramps that incapacitated me for some reason. Mostly i think it's just panic on his part.
I did end up awake at 4am and projectiling in the loo :( but again, i really dont feel like its labour, it just doesn't feel like my body is quite 'there'.
I'll call the midwife today regardless, i can't have him getting so worked up thinking i dont care, i just know im not popping anytime soon bless
