White flecks on nails

Has anyone else experienced this as a symptom in pregnancy? My nails are usually in quite good condition so I've never had this before. I've read that it's a result of a calcium deficiency, but then elsewhere I've read that it's perfectly normal, just one of those things and I don't need to do anything.

My diet is the same as it was before really except I'm not drinking tea as I've gone off it, but that's a minimal amount of milk. Do I need to be concerned that I'm lacking in something?

Calcium or iron deficiency. As long as u eat healthily and have ur heamoglobin checked don't worry. Remember they won't go until they grow out.

I had my booking in appointment a few days ago so if the blood tests show I'm low in iron I guess I'll get a phone call. At least it's nothing to be overly concerned about then Smile

I get white spots on my nails and I've never had low iron levels and always eat plenty of cheese! No idea what causes it.
