Are increased movements at 38 weeks as much a concern as decreased? or is it normal for baby to move more the closer you get to due date?

No, they are not of as much concern as reduced movements.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 06/03/2015 23:06

It's ANY change in the pattern of movements that should be checked out.

buttercupbear · 07/03/2015 03:31

Countess yes they are, as pp said it's the change in movements. Phone your mw

Want2bSupermum · 07/03/2015 03:36

I was told by my obn to call in any change increase or decrease in movement. I was also told to call in if I had a 'gut' feeling of something not being right. My gut feeling of thing not being right turned out to be preclampsia.

Thanks, will give the hospital a call, probably nothing but better to be safe!

All ok Natalie?

ChatEnOeuf · 08/03/2015 17:02

Hope all is well. As PP have said, ANY change in movements is a reason to get checked out.

SmallBee · 08/03/2015 17:06

Hope all is well, my midwifealways said that if you're concerned then call them, much better to make a fuss and be sent home than to ignore a problem.
