Help.. Consult a doctor?!??

I'm 10 weeks pregnant. I went to the doctors today to speak to them about a fungal rash that's appeared on the top of my legs (jock itch) ?? doctor is aware I'm pregnant and prescribed me daktacort and confirmed its fungal. I've come home and done a quick Google as she said nothing about its safety and the NHS website says do not take when pregnant speak to doctor about alternative option?!?

Argh.. It's soo annoying! I already have canesten 1% clotrimazole at home which just says consult a doctor before use if pregnant and apparently by Google is not deemed safe but likewise not deemed unsafe so now I'm unsure as to whether to use that one. Most people who are pregnant are prescribed canesten?!?!?

Anybody else had similar and care to share what they used? I'm unsure whether to phone the nhs number for a second opinion now as the website clearly states not to use but with canesten just says consult a doctor?

Thanks..

Don't you just hate all the consult a doctor packaging.

Ring or go to a chemist and speak to a pharmacist. They should be able to help.

I agree with mostly speak to the pharmacist and tell them you are pregnant. They can discuss it with the GP on your behalf and possibly recommend something else.

Canesten is fine in pregnancy but may not work for what you have. Do as the others advised, speak to a pharmacist as a lot of yhose meds that have the warning are ok on a doctors say so.
