Day 10 condom split

Hi all. Anyone conceived after a contraception accident on day 10 of cycle? We were being sensible and partner withdrew and condom was totally split...arghh! I work in a part of the world no morn after pill so it's a wait and see time. I've a week now before period and my usual sore boobs are not here BUT I do have a terrible sharp migraine (I usually get hormonal ones 1-2 days after period) and I feel really sick, but maybe because I'm not taking my migraine tablets as I'm unsure if preg and I know they are not to be taken if you think pregnant. I have also been sleeping very early last 4-5 days. I'm working in a place preg and single is unacceptable (obviously I was trying to be safe) so I'm a bit anxious.
Anyone had any week before af symptoms like this?

Well I ovulate on day 10 so am obviously fertile then. Plus, sperm hang around for up to 5 days or so which means even if you're ovulating later in your cycle, you can still conceive.

Do you have the option of/would you consider an IUD which can be used instead of a morning after pill?

Well you might well have been fertile, but the symptoms of early pregnancy are so similar to the symptoms of af arriving that it's impossible to tell, especially when stress exacerbates headaches and you're bound to be feeling stressed in your situation. I hope you get whatever news you're hoping for all the same :)

I fell pregnant through the condom splitting and am now 28 weeks. It happened on day 17 which I realised after was my ovulation day as I had long cycles but as Showy said sperm can live up to five days so it could still be around when you ovulate.

Can only advise to speak to a doctor or wait to see if you come on your period and if not do a test

I also ovulate on day 9/10 so yes it is possible.

Thanks ladies. I used to take the mini pill but I can't get it out here in Middle East. Very limited and if I go see a dr everyone where I live would soon know, lol! Weird situation but it's ok, I can handle it. And like you said, stress is probably playing a part in headaches. I've just a weird feeling about this and the timing of it! My periods are bang on 28 days every month. Just one of those things...life throws them doesn't it. I'd be happy and lucky to be a momma, just wish I had more savings but you can't have everything and this is a good man x

Keeping fingers crossed for you for whatever outcome you are hoping for LB - I live in Middle East too and had a friend who had a surprise pregnancy here so I know the concerns! If your period is due in a week then hopefully not long before you will know, I got a very faint positive 3 days before my period was due.

I think I remember you from a ttc thread possibly a while ago. Does this mean that you actually aren't completely anti having a baby right now? Apologies if I'm getting my usernames mixed up.

I've just advanced searched and I was thinking of a different Marie but you have posted whilst ttc before so it's highly possible my addled old brain is conflating random bits of information.

I need more tea.
