Pregnancy cyst

Has anyone had a pregnancy cyst in there first timester? As just had an early scan as have pain on right hand side, the nurse said it was just a cyst that will dissolve by 12 weeks and did not seem to be too worried about it, if anyone has any help with advice or previous experience it would reassure me that this pregnancy is going to be ok. Thanks

I had a cyst when had a early scan at 7wks with this baby. Was on right hand side. By the 20wk scan it had completely gone.Has not caused any problems.

Hi I am currently 19 weeks pregnant and my cyst is still there! And mine is a whopper at 5cm! They are called corpus luteum cysts and do normally dissolve by 12 weeks or so. My consultant says it is nothing to worry about (they did an extra scan at 16 weeks to make sure it hadn't grown which it hadn't and will look again at 20 week scan). No risk at all to baby - just a bit of discomfort to mum. Hope that helps.

i had one when pg with DS1, i remember mine was still there at the 20 week scan but didn't cause me any trouble - and that was the last i remember about it being mentioned. TBH, i had completely forgotten about it until i saw this post - and i am now 35 weeks pg with DC2, with no mention of any recurrence this time.
