Hello everyone.
I am new on Mumsnet and I am very excited as I am expecting my first child! I am from Fife, Scotland, 35 yo and 5 weeks pregnant :-) .
I think that this first pregnancy will be a steep learning curve but I am looking forward to it.

Thank you! Yes, I am due early November. I'll go and have a look at the antenatal groups, thanks.

Hey Poppy, welcome, first time mum-to-be here too, 28, from Lancashire, 5+5. Pregnancy is definitely a steep learning curve, no-one ever told us how awful it is!! Haha, I'm sure it will get better, and it will all be worth it in the end, but it has come as a bit of a shock how painful/unpleasant the whole experience is! I'm very lucky to have a very supportive DH, he's been amazing this past week when I'm really not feeling so good, he's been doing all the cooking (even planning meals ahead of time) which is so unlike him, and not complaining when I insist of having chips or equally unhealthy, bland food!

Hey Poppy,

I'm 34 from Fife and this is my first too! Currently approx 11 weeks... we think! Scan is on the 18th of March.

Good luck!

Hello Scatterbrainedlass (I could have picked this username too!). No bad symptoms for me so far ( just lack of appetite and the odd bit of cramping) but I am bracing myself for the weeks to come...

Hello ImpatiencePersonified. It's lovely to hear of someone from Fife, and roughly the same age too! I joined the local Numsnet Fife group too but it looks a bit quiet ?? . I live in a wee village near Cupar - moved here a couple of years ago from Edinburgh and love it!

WeePoppy · 05/03/2015 19:51

Hello BikeRunSki. It looks like you might know a thing or two about pregnancy, parenting and Mumsnet Wink . I'll know who to go to if I have any questions!

Oh no, we're not far at all ImpatiencePersonified. We might get to meet up at one of the MN meets if there are any in the area.
