Hi all

I developed cholastasis and gallstones with my first pregnancy which led to induction at 38 weeks.
I do want another child but I don't know if I need to get my gallstones sorted first. I know there's a really high chance of having cholastasis again, and didn't know if leaving the gallstones untreated could pose a problem. They aren't causing any pain currently.

I also had a cyst on one of my ovaries, and again, it isn't causing me current pain and not sure if I should get this checked before tic baby number 2

Thank you!

I had undiagnosed gallstones which caused under diagnosed cholastasis last pregnancy. I am not having other children but I highly recommend speaking to a consultant about this. My consultant retired on my last week and that is why I say under diagnosed. I had loads of very bad gallstone attacks after and it was the gastro consultant who I told about my constant 3 weeks of itching at the end of my pregnancy who explained how lucky I was and how serious it could have been.

Btw I mean a gastroenterologist consultant, my obs was totally useless not saying another more focussed obs would have been less so.
