HI all,

I already have 1 dd , I had no problems ttc, or with the birth. In the last year I have had 2 m/c and have just found out I am expecting again.WHilst I am happy, I am really worried amd am trying not to get too excited.

I wen tto see my doc before and he assured me its really common, and that I could go on to have have a happy normal pregangcy, but of course Im still worried sick.

Please, if any of you have similar stories with happy endings I would love to hear them, it would give me that bit of hope to get me through the next fe wweeks xxx

HI Swift,

I recently suffered a mc and am trying again now just wanted to say that my boss told me his wife had 2 mc's last year before they conceived thier second son who was born earlier this year so a happy outcome for them and I'm sure plenty of others.

Congratualtions and good luck to you

Hi swift1, I had problems ttc with my ex, we tried for 2 years then I was given clomid which didn't seem to work. Last April I had a mc with my new DP then I fell pregnant again this April and bled when I was 10+3, there seemed to be loads of blood but probably wasn't much at all. I was distraught but all was ok. I'm now 29 weeks tomorrow and all is well so far. Its normal to be worried esp after your mc's. Keep your chin up and take it easy. x And congratulations!
PS How far on are you?

juuule · 25/10/2006 19:57

Sorry to hear of your m/cs. Makes the next pg so difficult to get your head round. I have had 2 m/c in a row a couple of times. But 3rd pregnancy in the sequencce ended in success. 9 babies, 8 m/cs. My reasoning in the end was that if you throw enough mud at a wall some of it will stick. Not a very cutesy thought but it got me through some rough times.
Congrats on your pg. No reason at all why it shouldn't be successful this time. Best wishes.

Congratulations on this pregnancy.
Understnad how oyu are feeling!
I had a DS in July 2000, then went on to have 2 miscarriages in July 2004 and January 2005 BUT i fell pregnant again in May 2005 and went on to have a healthy baby girl in December 2005.
I spent the first 5 months of my last pregnancy being totally paranoid and scared that i would lose another baby. I did bleed at 8 and 15 weeks in my pregnancy too which made me worse BUT my daughter is now 10 months old and i call her my 3 in 1 baby! She is truely a miracle and my little angel.
Dont give up hoping. Hassle the doctor for earl scans and dont feel embarrassed to go to the docs if anything feels wrong.
It will be hard to relax but you really cant give up hope.

Goodluck.

Hi swift

I had a missed m/c at 11 weeks Aug 2005 followed by another one at 7 weeks Feb 2006. I am currently 19 weeks pg and so far all is well (fingers crossed).

(and I'm 43 and the hospital told us in Feb we probably wouldn't be able to conceive again so we did 4 months later- without trying!!)

CorrieDale · 04/11/2006 12:09

I had 3 mcs, then DS. It was a very straightforward pg - though I was permanently anxious, just like you'll be!

MKG · 04/11/2006 12:51

My cousin had 3 miscarriages. Her dd is now six months.

NAB3 · 04/11/2006 13:15

One baby, nervous start, good pregnancy, terrible end, but all fine now.

Second baby, stressful pregnancy, lots of scans, good labour, retained placenta, medical probs for baby but all fine now. Is a genius child.

M/C

Conceived twins, lost one but remaining baby doing brilliantly after expecting him to have Edward's syndrome.

If you do have another m/c you will be referred to hospital for tests but I really hope all goes well and CONGRATULATIONS!!

jellybeans · 04/11/2006 16:11

Hi i have lost 2 babies, one a missed m/c 11 weeks, one to a genetic disorder at 23 wks. I have also 4 healthy children and am 11 wks pg with no 5 (albeit very scared of outcome/loss) Hope all goes ok for you this time xx

BonfireNemo1977 · 04/11/2006 16:21

Hi swift..reassurance here...
I had 2mcs before I went on to have DS[3]. I then had a missed mc before having DD[10mths] and am 7mths pg with no.3
It can all go positively but you never loose that worry.

3andnomore · 04/11/2006 17:27

had 2 mc's...1 just before falling pg with es and 1 2 years after he was born....had bleeding with es, too...with all 3 of them wasn't very good with folic acid...years later read on a website that, if you have a cleft lip and palate you can take higher dose of Folic acid, 10 x the normal taken dose, as soon as you think of trying or as soon as possible once you found out you are pg, and that could reduce the risk....with ms and ys I never even had any bleeding!
