i already have two kids. my youngest is only 11 months and i found out im pregnant again in January. when i worked my dates out i thought i would be 10 weeks + but when i went for my first scan the baby was measuring 7 weeks and the midwife wasnt able to see a heartbeat but she said that this early it would be virtually impossible. so i have another scan in one week and i have done nothing but worry that im going to be told i miscarried. i stopped smoking in november, i gave up coffee as soon as i got pregnant and i have a very healthy lifestyle. anyone else with a similar problem, please share with me. thanks. xx

It's just a waiting game at this stage unfortunately, no one can tell you for certain.

If you are 7 weeks there is a high probability of seeing a heartbeat, they are usually visible between 6 and 7 weeks.

Can you count back from when you got your positive test - if you got an incredibly early positive result that would have put you at 3-4 weeks gone so if you had a positive result more than 3-4 weeks ago then it's unlikely to be good news, but if you found out less than 3 weeks ago then it's perfectly possible you ovulated late.

The best advice I've been told on here was to prepare for the worst but hope for the best. 25% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, it won't be anything you have done or not done if it doesn't work out.

If it helps, I lost a baby at 12 weeks and fell pregnant a month later. All was textbook perfect that time, and she's currently asleep upstairs!
