Just found out I'm pg with no 3! I've had pretty awful other pregnancies so have decided to go for a community midwife (not sure what they are called) this time. Can anyone recommend how to find one? I'm seeing dr next week and will ask him as well.

Annobal, I remember speaking to some midwives in the Dulwich area when I was looking. I can't remember their name but you can find it, and other midwives in the London area at:
here

Thank you! We're not far from Dulwich at Blackheath. Melody looks great and I couldn't find a website for independent midwives for the life of me. I quite like the idea of a "pain free" birth!!
What's the normal protocol - do you pick a couple and have a chat?

Yes, ring the convenient ones up and then decide if you want to have a meet up to see if you 'click' and whether they are the kind of people you want to be spending hours & hours of the coming 8/9 months with.
After that you can decide whether to book with them.
I think it was Melody that I spoke to, or it was her colleague.
