Cant work out how far gone I am

Hello, was wondering if anyone could help me.
I have my first midwife appointment on monday! woop but I am so confused to how far gone I am. Id just like the know a rough idea. The midwife usually do it from when your last period was but my cycles are so irregular that it wouldnt make sense. I know I ovulated late aswell. My start day of my last period was the 4th jan. Which would make me nearly 8 weeks pregnant but i know that it wouldnt work out like that. Can anyone help me??

Do you have an idea when you ovulated?

It's still done on lmp, no matter how irregular they are. Based on lmp your due date is October 11th and you are 7 weeks.
When you get a scan they will check your dates based on measurements and could alter a little based on that.

Then you could work out your cycle length as ovulation occurs 14 days before the next period. Then you could work out the cycle length and use nhs calculater.

If your cycle was 21days then you are 8 weeks if 40 days then you are 5 weeks

You really can't do it like that, its not remotely true that everyone ovulates 14 days before the next period.
OP, don't tie yourself in knots trying to work it out. You HCP's will do it exactly as my pp says.

Yeah I know my ovulation was late! I use clear blue opk showed I was ovulating at the normal time I normally do but I must not have actually ovulated so then showed all signs again late on and positive opk so I know I ovulated late! It's just so annoying because id like to have an idea haha

Ah you'll soon know with the midwife and scan. Like PP says best not to get caught up with dates. Gd luck

I had similar with my last baby, I knew I had ovulated late and knew my dates were off. They still used lmp as its the standard they all use. At 12 weeks I was 10.5 and got put back. Baby then was 12 days late.

I'm awaiting a baby due 1st march. My lmp says 12th March but my scan says 1st March. Who knows ?

How did you get on at midwife? Did you find out your dates ok

My midwife thinks I'm 8 weeks not sure tho! Got to wait to find out when my scan is now
