Just that really, when did you start feeling your baby move?

Hiya, I'm 19+2 weeks pregnant with dc2. Ive been feeling alot of movement over the last week or so and felt flutters since 16 weeks. Xx

Dogsmom · 26/02/2015 20:24

dd1 was 16 weeks and this one was 12 weeks, only tiny taps but definitely the baby.

I think you recognise the feeling quicker the 2nd time around.

AnythingNotEverything · 26/02/2015 20:28

2nd time it was around 13/14 weeks. 3rd time more like 18.

bonzo77 · 26/02/2015 20:33

2nd time around I could feel something around 12 weeks and more definite movements by 16 weeks. Now 11 weeks pg with dc3 and I'm sure im feeling things, but I can't be.

ag123 · 26/02/2015 20:34

This may be complete rot but I wonder if where the placenta forms affects it? Only, with my first pregnancy I don't think I felt any movements at all until quite late on but the placenta was right at the front and I think insulated the movements a little...

Mamabear14 · 26/02/2015 20:43

I'm 18+3 with dc3 and haven't felt so much as a flutter yet! I'm hoping it will be soon.

mammycampbell · 26/02/2015 20:46

14 wks for 2nd! 1st was 21 weeks. so special both times, made it all seem real :)

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 26/02/2015 21:28

Expecting DC2 and been getting lots of movements since hitting 18 weeks....it was the same with DC1 I recall.

Luckystar82 · 26/02/2015 21:31

First baby for me

20+3 and I've not felt anything yet! Baby ok as had scan yesterday

Luckystar82 · 26/02/2015 21:32

oops sorry didn't notice the 2nd pregnancy bit!

Treesandbees · 26/02/2015 21:33

DS1 bubbles at 18 weeks and kicks at 20 weeks. DC2 14 weeks felt kicks but v sporadically! Sonographer said it was a very busy baby so probably why!

weelamb123 · 26/02/2015 21:47

Yes, totally depends on placenta position xx

Hotpotpie · 27/02/2015 09:26

I was really far on with my first but had an anterior placenta, I'm hoping this time is a bit quicker!

I can't remember exactly with the first but it wasn't early, maybe 18/19 weeks or so. Then with 2nd and 3rd I felt movement from 11 weeks, not making it up or exaggerating (what would be the point, it's anonymous) they were tiny tickly sensations like bubbles popping, feathery tapping. But definitely there. So lovely to feel! Smile

How come you're asking, op? Are you feeling movement early? Not feeling movements later in the pregnancy?

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 27/02/2015 09:45

Xposted, sorry. How far along are you?

Hotpotpie · 27/02/2015 18:38

I'm only early days, no movements yet, but I was so late with my first I was just curious

11weeks! Didn't feel anything definite with dc1 until 20 weeks. Now 29 weeks with dc2 and feel so much more than last time.
