I've been constipated for 30 weeks (also 30wks pregnant), and suddenly I can poop again!

I'm so very happy Grin

My friend (helpfully) said this happened her in the days leading up to labour as it's the body's way of clearing out and preparing!

I hope not - it's too early! I'm not due until 4th May and she's really taken the shine off being able to "go" again with no hassle Sad

Do you have any experience of this?

I was pretty constipated most of my pregnancy but finding from about 32 weeks I've had no problems, currently 37 weeks and bubs still snug in there Smile

Going a lot or having looser stools can indicate the body clearing out tho before labour so keep an eye on things if you start going constantly

Me too. I'm on iron tablets so was really constipated and fearful of a pile. Since around the same time as you Ive noticed its been easy to go, pretty much daily if not twice a day and a case of "gotta go right now!". Nearly 35w now so hopefully just one of those things.
