I'm just wondering how many of you are still sleeping on your belly. It's the comfiest position for me at 29 weeks. I have a pillow kind of half under my bump so I'm not directly on my belly. It's very comfy.
I also find myself waking up on my back! And braxton hicks always wake me up if I'm laying on my back. Oh and my full bladder Hmm.

I love sleeping on my belly. Im 37 weeks tomorrow so haven't been able to for weeks!! Plenty of cushions including one between legs and one supporting bump whilst sleeping on my side is the way I'm doing things these days. Enjoy it whilst you still can- baby is very well protected in amniotic fluid so they won't get squished Smile

I still sleep on my belly and I'm 29 weeks too. Not directly on my belly, I put my leg up bent so it takes a little pressure off. It's the only way I can sleep. Baby always squeezes himself into the bit I'm lay on, pokes around for a bit then goes quiet. He must like being squished in the warmth Smile

I've been sleeping on my side mostly, sort of half-tipped towards my front. I do keep waking up on my back though.

28 weeks and also sleep on my belly, uncomfy any other way. Always did with my other 3ds's too :)

Good god how do you manage that Grin I couldn't lay on my belly if I tried!!!

pinkie1982 · 24/02/2015 22:37

I'm having dreadful sleep as I usually sleep on my front and can't as it hurts. I've not been able to since 10w

It was a while back but I slept on a blow-up mattress at the end of the pregnancies. I'm a confirmed tummy-sleeper and the air 'gives' a lot.

im 31 week and still sleep on my belly

FoulsomeAndMaggotwise · 25/02/2015 00:22

Whaaaaat?! How is it even possible?

WrappedInABlankie · 25/02/2015 00:39

Can't sleep any other way! I slept on my front all the way up to I was in the hospital and they were braking my waters. It was hell after my c-section and I only sleep on my front and I couldn't!

24 weeks with DS2 and still going strong on my front!

FoulsomeAndMaggotwise · 25/02/2015 01:35

But how?! My bump is all out in front and it's just impossible. I'm usually a belly sleeper so would bloody love to continue that but it's just physically not possible. Literally from about 12 weeks I have to sleep on my side.

avocadotoast · 25/02/2015 08:05

I wonder if it depends on your mattress at all? I haven't been able to lay fully on my front since about 14 weeks and our mattress is quite firm. I suppose if it was softer it might have a bit more give?

BreeVDKamp · 25/02/2015 08:51

I'm 29 weeks tomorrow and recently have been rolling over onto my front which is sooooo comfy :) I think it's because recently if I lie on my back I've started to get backache. I do have a pregnancy pillow along my side/under bump/between legs so I'm not totally on my front, but can't stay directly on my side so I do roll forwards a bit.
My bump isn't very big though, people still don't notice I'm pregnant! :(

WrappedInABlankie · 25/02/2015 09:27

Foul I just lay on my front lol I'm not skinny though have my fair share of tummy fat maybe that's why? I have a memory foam mattress too.

You could always place a pillow above and below your bump and that might work lol

I'm pleased people are still sleeping on their bellys at 29 weeks. I'm 20 weeks and was getting paranoid about sleeping in my front. I hate sleeping on my side
