Period problems

I have been on the pill for 4 years, occasionally missed a few pills as you do due to being busy or just pure forgetfulness silly me. But never had any issues.
I'm starting a new job and Im very stressed and I've missed more pills than normal. My periods are like clock work. I take my last pull on a Saturday and by the Wednesday I have my period. It's heavy and it lasts around 4-5 days.
This month I have experienced spotting on the Saturday when I wipe. Very light bleeding Sunday and also Monday. And brown discharge. I don't feel any different but I know my body and this is very strange It hasn't happened before.
Today I am bleeding alot heavier so I need a tampon and ive noticed a few clots.
But I don't want to pass it off just incase I am pregnant because I know people can bleed throughout pregnancy
I've been online and a few woman have experienced it and said its implantation bleeding early in pregnancy others it's just an early period but it's so hard to tell.
I took a test on Monday and it was negative

Yes it's hard to tell. Both times I've had implantation like a light period, I only know I'm pregnant when it doesn't get heavy. When are you due? Take another test? You can get them dead cheap from the supermarket.

After your post on AIBU, I really hope you have been taking your pill!

I am in the same boat as you, on the pill and missed some this month due to work. Often missed some in the past and it's always been fine but this time it feels different. Period started Sunday but wasn't as heavy as usual except for Monday when it was quite heavy. I have a test and not done it yet. Holding out as they are quite a bit if money and only want to test once.
Are You going to take another test? What pill are you on?
