Nub Theory - we really don't care if it's a boy or a girl, but anyone want to guess?

Hi All,

I hope everyone is well!

I'm just back from the 12 week scan and so relieved to report that everything is looking good so far (I was very anxious due to miscarrying my last pregnancy at 11 weeks and having spotting during this one from weeks 6-8).

My husband and I don't care if we have a boy or a girl - being healthy is all we hope for! But I wondered if anyone would like to have a guess at what the sex might be from these photos ... the nub theory is very interesting ...

Thanks for the input Number3 - I think the first picture looks like a boy nub too, but the second picture looks the opposite and my husband thinks it just generally looks like a girl! We'll be delighted either way, but would love more feedback from others ...

Agree with you, first pic looks like a boy and second a girl. Girly skull though on both pics...

Based on the skull theory I mean. It's more round and apparently a more square skull indicates boy.

Yes I looked at the pics before scrolling down to what others have said, and thought the same thing - boy in the first one and girl in the others! Who knows!

Thanks everyone - seems it's still a mystery! Will be interesting to see what they say at the 20 week scan!

How do u view photos? I'm on my ipad app and can't work out where the pics are?!

Hi Jenny, the pictures are right at the top, in the first post. I'm not sure how they show up on the ipad though?

Nub is clearly pointing upwards, so I'm saying strong likelihood of a boy.

Skull theory, well there doesn't seem to be much evidence for that. Again, you'll find a bit if you search for it.

if you are using the app then that'll be why you can't see any pics

feex15 when your picture was visible the nub look horizontal. That's why I think girl for you. Its just a guess though good luck x
