Driving myself mad.

As you can tell by my name I am a worrier, I have been diagnosed with severe health anxiety along with a few other mental illnesses. ANYWAY.
I'm 12 weeks pregnant and my scan is this week. I am convinced I've had an mmc I keep getting very sudden sharp pains then nothing? I've had no spotting though. I've also had NO symptoms at all not one single symptom? I seen the heart beat 3ish weeks ago but that hasn't put my mind at ease :(
I've also had lots of stress the last few weeks losing two family members 5 days apart another being diagnosed with cancer etc I'm worried all this will have effected the bean :( I am now full of flu too!

Basically I'm just wondering if anyone can try an reassure me as until after the scan I don't really have anyone to talk to :(

worrywart come and join us on the September antenatal club thread! Everyone spends the whole time worrying about shooting pains, crampy pains, stretchy pains and all manner of things!! We can't stop you worrying, but you can see that all of us do it

It's a very good sign that you saw a heartbeat at 9 weeks. If you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks the chance of a MC drops to 2%. The chance of a MC is even less if you see a heartbeat at 9 weeks. Symptoms, or lack of, really don't mean anything.

'A heartbeat at 8 weeks increases the chance of a continuing pregnancy to 98% and at 10 weeks that goes up to 99.4%.' - taken from the Miscarriage Association website.
