Working out SMP entitlement and the 'qualifying period'

Hiya,

I'm trying to work out when my qualifying/relevant period would be to work out my sick pay. I understand from various websites, that it's something to do with the 15th week before the due date. They then look at the last two pay slips. So if, therefore, I had been paid statutory sick pay in that time, or not paid for sick days, the amount would be significantly reduced.

I am due 31st July, so the 15th week before (I think) would be 12th April. Does this mean they would use February and March's payslips to work out my SMP?

TIA!

This should help you work out what you will get - you will just need your payslips for the qualifying weeks.

I am due 28th July and pretty sure I worked it out as Feb and March payslips, yes.
