Could you tell the sex at 14 weeks.

I am pregnant with number 2, 20 weeks gone and have my scan this week. Eek.

Anyway, I had my first scan at 14 weeks due to the hospital being busy.

I never asked if she could tell the sex (as to be honest at the time thought it would be too early and didn't want an inaccurate gender lol).

During the scan she took a look at the baby and his or her legs were slightly open, I did not see anything, neither a penis or a nub. Does this mean it's a little girl? Or maybe it was too early to tell?

Has anyone had this happen to them?

You'll be able to ask this week at your anomaly scan :)

I found out I was having a boy at 12 week scan with my son. There is no way of telling its a girl though as they sometimes aren't 100 percent at 20 week scan with girls, easier to tell with a boy if their bits are on show.

They did for me at 14+4 and the shot on the boy bits looked pretty convincing to me. But the sonographer said it was not 100% as girl bits could swell early on. He was still a boy at 20 and 32 weeks. Grin
