Horrendous sore throat - what will help?

Am 10 weeks and feel hideous. The nausea alone is killing me and now I have an awful sore throat - luckily no other cold symptoms yet. Any suggestions? I've had strep throat before and don't think it's sore enough yet. Been drinking lots but unsure as to any lozenges etc. This is my second but it's been 4 years and I feel like a novice again!

I had tonsillitis about 3 weeks ago. Know how horrible it is. I got through with paracetamol, gargling with warm salt water and freshly squeezed lemon in water with a bit of honey. Hope it passes soon.

Boots version of Lemsip. As Lemsip isn't good when pregnant.

Thanks Summerday - I hadn't thought of gargling, guess I'll start on that this evening. Probably is I gag when I try to brush so not sure how well that will go down!

Drinking milk can provide a little relief as well.

A teaspoon of honey if you can stomach it, it's a natural antiseptic.

Honey and lemon?

Ice lollies helping here - on week three of bad cold type symptoms.

Plain old paracetemol is the best thing to take for sore throat IMO. I think that's OK pregnant?
