How pregnant am I?

I did the Clear Blue digital test today and it says I'm 2-3 weeks pregnant. So am I "2-3 weeks" or am I "5 weeks" as think they add 2 weeks on! Also...how many weeks are there?! Is it 37 or 39?

What does it mean when someone says they are 8 weeks + 5 etc?

Im not sure how many weeks it would make you but a positive test is positive and theres 39 weeks for the pregnancy but can go up to 41 weeks which is over due but they allow that and when someone says 8 weeks+5 they are 8 weeks and 5 days pregnant im 28 weeks today but will be +1 tomorrow hehe its confusing but will get the hang of it.

You will be 4-5 weeks pregnant, there are around 40 weeks of pregnancy and when people put 8 weeks + 4 they mean 8 weeks 4 days pregnant

A normal pregnancy lasts for between 37 and 42 weeks.

A pregnancy begins on the day sperm meets egg but because of how we historically date pregnancy from the first day of the last menstrual period, at the point of conception you are referred to as 2 weeks pregnant already. So on the day you miss your period, you are referred to as 4 weeks pregnant but the actual conception took place only 2 weeks ago.

Clearblue digital dates from conception so at 2-3 weeks you're actually 4-5 weeks pregnant.

The NHS will arrange care around a 40 week due date. This is 38 weeks from conception. It is not actually when you are due but just an average so they can plan care for you.
