No symptoms of preganancy - this can't be normal??

I found out I am pregnant and am delighted as it was a planned pregnancy and we got there first time. I 'knew' I was pregnant before I missed my period but other than my boobs getting bigger I am having no symptoms whatsoever!

Everything I have read says that morning sickness is a sign that HCG levels are high - does that mean mine aren't? Is it actualy unusual not to have the usual symptoms of pregnancy?

I wen't for a scan last week as I was having blood loss and stomach cramps but it turns out that was just the placenta embedding and is normal. The heartbeat is strong and baby normal size for gestation (ie tiny).

I'm feeling like I am cheating almost... Am I going to wake up soon and have the most horrendous morning sickness, or at 8 weeks is this all I have to expect until I get the 'getting bigger' symptoms?

Seems that my lack of symptoms was lack of pregnancy. I went
For a scan this morning after being electrocuted (long story) and it sea the baby died 3 weeks ago :(

I am 11 weeks and had hardly any symptoms, only feeling tired and needing to pee more regularly. I had sore breasts early on and was sensitive to smells but that has stopped now. Thanks for the reassurance ladies, I've been really worried at times. It doesn't help that people say things like "ms = healthy pregnancy" to other pregnant friends. Hmm Out of interest, are you all healthy people? I am very active and have a healthy diet with lots of fruit and veg and take pregnacare max and I am wondering if this has helped avoid sickness, or if it is just pure luck.

So sorry Dee, I didn't see you message before I posted x

dottiemad · 21/03/2015 15:48

So sorry Dee xx hugs xx

Oh no auntiedee I just don't know what to say, I'm so so sorry to hear that awful news. I hope you are doing as OK as you can be under the circumstances, look after yourself.

AuntieDee · 21/03/2015 16:31

I'm doing OK - I guess next time I will pray for symptoms as at least when you have them you know that everything is still progressing. It's hard knowing I had a dead baby inside me for 3 weeks and still have until I have a loss or have a medical management. It all seems very unreal as I haven't actually lost it yet :(

I can't even imagine.....as much as I can't quite believe I've got anything in there I don't know how I would cope if something happened. And I guess we never know for sure that things are OK, my last scan was 2 weeks ago now. If I remember correctly you were very similar dates to me. I hope you get the physical and emotional care you need, I know that the last thing you probably feel like right now is to hang out on a pregnancy forum and we don't all know what it's like to go through what you are but if it helps to talk then you know where we are.

batfish · 21/03/2015 16:46

Also next time if there are no symptoms again then please try not to think it means anything - I have never had symptoms and things were fine 2 weeks ago - and I've read sad stories where people were having all the symptoms and things weren't OK. So next time even though I know it will be impossible try not to compare to this time. Big hugs x

I just went for my 12 week appointment to find no heart beat and it hadn't grown in the last 2 weeks. I was right to worry about not having symptoms. I say this not to worry others but I do wish I had trusted my body and gone back to the doctor sooner.

Pupadillo · 25/03/2015 14:16

6 weeks today here and very mild symptoms - bit twingey now and again, hungry and gone off chocolate but other than that I'm all good. Oh I tell a lie, my boobs are a bit sore today but that's it - even then its not as bad as with a normal period. Am going to make the most of it!

batfish · 25/03/2015 14:21

fruitlovingmonkey I'm so sorry for your loss, what an awful thing to happen. I hope you will be OK

I'm so sorry to read the end of this thread, auntie.

I just wanted to let you know that I also had an MMC (11.5 weeks, growth stopped at 8) before my current pregnancy, and that neither of them showed many symptoms. I freaked out a bit with the current pregnancy for that very reason - I wanted it to be different from the lost one - but everything was fine. I'm 32 weeks now.

It's not necessarily true that no symptoms = unhealthy pregnancy. Sometimes it just means you're not very sensitive to the hormones. Try not to worry too much with the next one if there aren't tons of symptoms.

Wishing you all the best for the future Flowers
