Morning sickness - when?

Hi girls,

When does morning sickness usually start? It's not like I'm desparate to get it or anything it's just I feel like I'm waiting for it to happen. Plus I keep reading that if you have sickness you may be less likely to m/c. It's just weird these first few weeks, I've been getting period like cramps, but other than that, it's just weird that you don't always feel pregnant, you know what I mean?

Supposed to peak at 9-10 wks.

if you get past this time w/out it, lucky you!

Er... never?

Soupy

(Had hyperemesis in 2 pgs here)

ds - never felt sick
dd - puked 20-30 x day from 5 wks 4 days until 6 mths
this time - ms from 6 wks to 9 weeks then nothing.
6 weeks would be good threshold for many of the early symptoms to kick in.

"Plus I keep reading that if you have sickness you may be less likely to m/c"

This isn't true! I've banged on about this before on mumsnet but basically there's no conclusive evidence that morning sickness has anything to do with the likelihood of miscarriage, so don't sweat it if you don't feel pukey.

I know, I know, don't believe everything you read! It's just so difficult when it's your first time and you haven't a clue what's going on!

I never had morning sickness nor other typical pregnancy 'problems'- cravings, swallen ancles, back pain, etc. (sorry). Just count yourself lucky if they never start and enjoy your pregnancy

I was exactly the same, bumperlicious, so I know how you feel. When you don't have the commonly talked about pregnancy symptoms you somehow don't feel properly pregnant. At least, I didn't. Just try to sit tight till your scan - that's the best reassurance.

I have a ds and a dd. Had absolutly NO symptoms, sickness or anything with either of my first 2 pregnancys and they were easy and staight forward. Am now 10+1 with my third and errrrr have not had a good 6 weeks. From the moment I got the BFP I felt rough, tired, sick, sore, emotional. I can't blame it on the boy girl thing though. begining to feel better now, but saying that quietly.

All pg's are different. Personally I don't believe the less likely to m/c thing if ill. Count your lucky stars! Try to enjoy it.
