Early metallic taste = go on to have morning sickness?

With DD1 my first symptom (before missed period) was a really distinctive metallic taste. Then from 6 all the way through to 20 weeks alllllll day sickness.

Now pregnant with DC2 and not yet 5 weeks I don't think, but some symptoms none of them metallic taste. CAN I DREAM this might mean no sickness to come...?! (Such a straw-clutcher!)

I had the metallic taste but no morning sickness!

I had an odd taste around week 3-4, shortly before the relentless sickness started.
It wasn't so much metallic as that everything tasted odd. My coffee tasted so strange I thought there must be mould in the jar (there wasn't).
Maybe sickness is made worse or triggered by altered sense of taste, like hypersensitivity to smells.

My metallic taste was much later this time round. I hope you don't suffer so much this time.

I had no metallic taste whatsoever throughout my pregnancy but all day sickness until I was 20 weeks - fingers crossed that you dodge the sickness though! Smile

For me, metallic taste all the way through 3 pregnancies. Nausea but no actual sickness.

Pregnancy 4, no metallic taste but daily sickness from roughly 1 week post conception through to the day DD was born. Not one single day missed.
