Has anyone had experience of being diagnosed with parvo virus in pregnancy?
I'm now about 10w6d, and been told I have parvo virus. Got diagnosed because of being unwell in hospital and took many blood tests.
I had a blood clot last weekend and a scan on Wednesday and baby is there with heart beat.
Yesterday had more bleeding and cramps.
No baby has passed.
I know they will be keeping a close eye on things throughout pregnancy as it can cause life threatening problems for baby.

I'm waiting for the results of my blood test now (my son developed the rash earlier in the week), hopefully I'm immune or I'll dodge it. I really feel for you, you must be so worried. Most of the time everything is fine, but you'll need scans every 1-2 weeks to keep a close eye on the baby. This is all what I read on the NHS website, I'm no professional, hope you feel better soon Flowers

Hiya! Thanks for your reply. It was only diagnosed because because I become much poorly than usual(I have lots of health problems) and was in hospital last week so they were checking what infection I could have and the tell tale sign was I had a rash, pain and swelling in my joints, fever and really bad head:-(
Haven't even heard of this danger to pregnant women before.
Is your name Rhiannon? Are you in wales? I have a similar name and live in South Wales.
