I'm currently 12+5 and still don't feel pregnant! Despite suffering pretty badly with hyperemesis. I just feel like I've got a bit of a bug that just happens to have lasted the past 7 weeks!

I thought my 12 week scan would make it all seem real but nope! Was absolutely amazing to see little bean wriggling and hiccuping but still find it strange to think that there is a small human growing inside me!

Now I'm hoping that when I start to get a bump and feel movements it might feel real!

When did it start to feel real for you?

A little bit when I started to feel movements but not really until she came home (and she was three weeks old then!).

35 weeks here and still not sure it's really sunk in.....

IceLemonGin · 20/02/2015 07:38

I'm 16 weeks and it still doesn't feel real...I reckon one day when the baby is around 3 months, I will wake up and finally realise Grin

bubalou · 20/02/2015 07:41

I'm 25 weeks now with my second and would say about 20 weeks - movement started, bump growing and scan makes it all very real I think.

It'll feel real once baby gets here. Wink

Kicks and growing / moving bump, sickness and back pain. You certainly know you're pregnant. You even know that in just a few months you're going to be totally responsible for a newborn! It's just it didn't really hit me until baby was born!!

I used to be surprised to see ds1 in his cot in my room. I was so amazed a whole other person could come out of thin air.

2dc in I am no longer surprised Grin

Hi Dilly, am 40+1 and still have difficulty understandimg that there's a little person inside of me! Definitely feeling kicks and pokes is a wonderful sensation, they do make things more real. Hopefully that won't be too long away for you!
Congratulations!

Probably when you hold the baby, but saying that for months after DS was born I kept saying to DP "We had a baby, can you believe we had a baby?"

And he looked at me like this Confused and didn't understand at all!

Choccywoccydodah · 20/02/2015 07:58

Our DS is 3.5, still hasn't sunk in we're parents Grin

Choccywoccydodah · 20/02/2015 07:58

3.6 even Blush

dillydollydarling · 20/02/2015 08:03

Glad to know its not just me! Grin

OH was saying the other day that someone brought their baby into work and it kind of sunk in for him that we're going to have one of those in a few months time.

Whereas I'm just blissfully unaware Grin maybe when we start doing the nursery and buying things it might sink in a little!

39+5 here and still not feeling real!

loudarts · 20/02/2015 08:04

With pfb it didn't sink in till my waters broke. Then it became very real

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 20/02/2015 08:25

When the baby is born Smile. Seriously it didn't compute for me that it was a real life human until she was born! Pregnant with number 2 now and it feels a little more real this time but not much.

Number3cometome · 20/02/2015 12:35

DS is 12, DD is 7, currently 18+5 with DS2

Some days I still cannot believe I made them!

geekymommy · 20/02/2015 13:32

I don't think it's a discrete thing- one day it doesn't feel real, the next it does, like a light bulb switching on. Maybe it is like that for some people, I don't know. It wasn't for me. It felt more real when I saw the baby on an ultrasound, then it felt more real yet when I felt kicking.

Bondy83 · 20/02/2015 19:12

I'm being induced tomorrow and it's only now sinking in I'm actually having a baby Hmm

Luckystar82 · 21/02/2015 11:05

Started to feel real for me at 19 weeks

Before that didn't feel pregnant at all

FloweryBoots · 21/02/2015 14:21

40+2 today with DC3. I'm now rather impatient and EXTREEMLY grumpy (after a bad night with both DC1 and 2 up multiple times arghh). I'll let you know when it sinks in that I'm actually having another...
