Hi ladies, I'm new to this and have been reading all your posts desperate to find an answer so thought I would write my first :)

I have been on the Yasmin pill (on and off) for the last year or so. We decided to start trying for a baby and I came off the pill on the 11th Feb. I was due to be ovulating anyway on the 13th Feb - 18th Feb so I'm assuming I still ovulated. I felt the pulling shooting pains of ovulation too! We had sex pretty much every one of those days (being Valentines and all! ????;)

Anyway since Sunday (15th) I have literally been SO nauseous, went to eat one of my favourite foods, bit into it and ran and threw up! Even the taste of wine is knocking me sick (and I love a glass of wine haha), I'm exhausted, having the most crazy dreams, metallic taste in my mouth, constantly hungry and my mood swings . . . Well my partner can vouch for that ????

I have a 3 year old little girl and I know the symptoms of pregnancy and I just FEEL pregnant! My partner said he thinks I am.

I know it's very early to feel symptoms but I've read on here about so many women who had these symptoms as early as day of conception and were all in fact pregnant x

The only thing is I've had bleeding the last couple of days (not a lot - like a light period) which I'm assuming is my withdrawal bleed from the pill as I'm not due on for another 2 weeks - is it still to possible to be pregnant and still have this?

Any replies are so much appreciated ladies ?? p.s TTC technique - get your other half to take Wellman originals tablets! I know coupes who were TTC for months to years, started the male on these and they all conceived straight away - my hubbys been put straight on them!! Haha xxx

It might be possible, but it might also be your body adjusting to not being on the pill, especially if you stopped half way through a pack. It is very early to feel symptoms, I started with mild symptoms about 10 days after conception, I would just not get your hopes up but def do a test in a couple of weeks

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to me happygojo and I have thought this - body adjusting to coming off the pill. It's so hard not to get ahead of yourself isn't it Smile thank you and what a long couple of weeks this is going to be lol x

I'm one of the few that usually knows I'm pregnant pretty much from conception so totally possible ... i can only say you are going to have to draw some patience from somewhere lol 2 weeks wait til you poas is going to seem like an eternity!!

MummyMimi3 · 18/02/2015 23:45

Blackwidow74 thank you for your reply! Ah really? See I knew with my daughter I was before I missed my period. Sometimes you just know don't you. Tell me about it!! I'm impatient generally anyway - this is going to be a LONG 2 weeks! Haha! Thanks for your reply x

Most welcome ... I invested in some of the ultra sensitive tests from ebay ... I was getting faint positives 4 days before missed period ... They were 30 for £5 and measure as low as 10 something or other hcg ... currently 31+1 weeks !!

MummyMimi3 · 19/02/2015 23:55

Ah that's fab to know! I didn't even know you could get them! I will be looking now, thank you :) xx

The bleeding could be implantation bleed, especially since you were ovulating between 13-18th. It normally happens a couple of weeks after conception but can vary from days to weeks.

I had obvious symptoms 4 weeks after conception but looking back there were earlier signs too (exhaustion, heightened sense of smell, feeling off colour) that I put down to being overworked.

My friend claimed she 'just knew' as soon as she conceived, she woke up the next day feeling 'different' (they'd been trying for a few months but she'd never had this feeling before). She said she had a strange 'fizzy' feeling in her legs and pelvis, but other than this can't pinpoint what it was that told her.

Good luck Smile

MissTwister · 22/02/2015 11:58

If you took your last pill on the 11th you wouldn't have ovulated two days later though would you? I thought it would at least take a few days to get out of system and they usually say to wait a month don't they?

Sukie272 · 22/02/2015 16:25

You can ovulate straight away after stopping pill. I think the 'wait 1 month' advice is more about letting body adjust and having a 'practice' cycle rather than to do with fertility levels. There are a few studies suggesting women actually have a period of 'hyper-fertility' directly after stopping the pill, explaining why it's not unusual to conceive accidently when they miss only one pill.

Sukie272 thank you so much for your response! Had a few BFN's so holding on in there and will try again in a week. Still got all the weird feelings so fingers crossed xx
