36 weeks - baby bashing me v low

Please tell me this isn't a sign of labour being imminent... I don't remember it happening with DS. I'm 36 weeks and I keep getting what feels like kicks (or headbutts?) straight down very low. It doesn't hurt (thank goodness) but it does almost instantly require me to go to the bathroom. I'm just concerned that she's getting herself ready to put pressure on my cervix... I do not have time to go into labour yet. PLease tell me this is normal?

Completely normal. My first was engaged at 31 weeks and headbutting my bladder until she was born at 39 weeks.

Probably just the baby's position.

Thanks. I hope so. I had heard that with second babies if they engage labour is likely to be soon so that was also stressing me out. I see the midwife on friday so hopefully she can reassure me that baby isn't gasping to get out! I. do. not. have. time! crappy reality of being self employed

Second babies pop in and out of being engaged. Some don't engage until labour has started. No rules at all annoyingly. You only have a week until you are full term. You might need to find time somewhere!

Your first sentence was comforting. Your last sentence was less so. Grin

I'll keep my legs crossed!

Any movements seem to send me to the loo! Problem is I cant always pee even though I need.Wondered if if was due to baby pressing on certain bit.
