Hot at night

We sleep with the window open but I am worried I'm getting too hot at night which will harm baby. I am also not feeling 100% due to a cold and read about the potential for heat/high temps to cause problems for baby in first trimester. I'm sure I'm being stupid as I have probably puked my brain out of my head but please reassure me. A hot bed is not as bad as a hot bath, right? I'm 8+5 with first (hence paranoia!!!!)

I've been advised that a hot(ish) bath isn't even that bad! I was worried because before I knew I was pregnant I had really hot hot waterbottles, boiling baths etc. because I had such bad stomach pain. I was told that I'd need to have raised my body temperature to about 39 degrees to even risk causing any damage - that doesn't happen in a hot room or hot bath(I know, I checked!) I have had little temeratures (37.5 degrees or thereabouts) with colds and stomach upsets and I am waking up boiling most nights. I just had my 12 week scan and was told everything looks great and have been told I really shouldn't be worrying unless I'm getting properly high temperatures. I hope that helps!

My mum had my sister when we had just moved to Cyprus (dad was in the army), she would have been 1st trimester during the height of summer and our little bungalow had no air con. In the interests of reassuring you I will begrudgingly admit that there isn't anything wrong with my sister!

Thanks so much ladies you have put my mind at rest. The sleep deprivation is getting the better of me!
