hello ladies

went for scan on saturday at what should have been 7+6 based on LMP.

at first all looked great, as the baby was there, was in the right place, and had a decent hb. but then she did a tv to measure it, and sadly not such good news. the baby only measures 6+1. as i do have long cycles, and as everything was the same size (ie it would have been worse if the sac had measured 7+6), she gave us a 50/50 chance and said to come back next week.

pretty gutted, especially as i'm 37 and this is my first/only, so have no idea if it will ever happen for us now. hope everyone else is having a much better time of it x

Oh no. So sorry to hear this.

:(

I was pretty much in your boat at Christmas. My scan dated me at 6 weeks when I knew I was at least 7 and a half. I saw hb too. Had scan at nine weeks and no hb :(

I am 37 too, no dc yet. I had two mc last year. I still have hope that I will get my baby though.

I hope it isn't an mc for you OP, will keep my fingers x.

Oh my darling, I'm so sorry xxxx

blowinahoolie · 17/02/2015 11:18

patienceisvirtuous that's a very similar story of what happened last year to myself.

Just because they do see a heartbeat, doesn't always mean it's going to be good news especially if the measurements just don't add up. I knew myself even after seeing the heartbeat, that it wasn't going to end well. You just know.

Sorry you are going through this OP.

Thanks all - this website is a real godsend! Well, promising news from EPU in that the bleeding looks v minor and there is still a good hb. Baby has also grown since sat by a few days (albeit different machine, different sonographer etc) so it looks as good as it can for anyone at not quite 7 weeks. Fingers crossed it sticks from here!

Patience and anyone else in same boat, thinking of you and v sorry for your stories xx

Oh, that's terrific. It's a total roller coaster ride, isn't it? been there Fingers crossed for you for the rest of your journey Flowers

hi - I was in a similar situation with my first, I pretty much bled from the 8th week all the way through the pregnancy - not massive floods but enough to need a towel. Doctor kept saying 'are you sure its coming from there' condescending sod! Hope all continues to go well.

PippaB007 · 17/02/2015 12:46

What a roller coaster! I hope all is well. A friend of mine went through something very similar recently. Pregnant at 3rd AI, aged 38, and then ongoing threatened miscarriage for 3 hellish months. Her very cute bouncy boy has just turned 6 months.

I'm still in limbo too. I've been feeling slightly queasy all day, so I reckon that is a good sign. Tomorrow morning I will have blood drawn for the second hCG test, and then hopefully I'll get the results in the afternoon.

Blimey! Your head must be all over the place scarednoob!

Lovely news and I hope it continues to be so.

Hugs

The blood work showed no increase in the hCG levels. D&C on Friday.
Sad

Hoping for better news on your side.
