Hi ladies,

I am coming up to 40weeks and was just wondering what 'signs' people had before labour? I haven't had any AT ALL and am starting to worry I'll go way over :(

Xx

I didn't have any at all. Until started to get contractions out of the blue when I'd really given up all hope at 42+3

I had no signs at all. I was convinced I'd go over and need induction but then my waters broke in the middle of the night :)

I didn't get any with dd1 either, it was so frustrating, I was a member of another forum of women all around the same stage and they were having all sorts of symptoms.

My first period type pain was the start of it and they gradually got more painful and closer together until she was born the following lunchtime 2 days early.

With this one I'm 38weeks and getting all kinds of signs but have been told it's more common with the 2nd as your body is more experienced.

Is it your first?

I lost my mucus plug then the next day had the shits around 3 times.
Contractions started that night (Saturday) but stopped after 5 hours. They started again at midnight on Sunday, felt like period pains to start with. Finally had DD on the Tuesday morning.

Poo!

I had very frequent bowl movements for a couple days before labour started...not an obvious sign, but one to look out for nonetheless! X

Pardon the pun but shitting myself!
I am 35+1 and having the runs all day - in fact just brown water! Gripey pains, period pains, BH's this evening. feeling agitated, moody, teary and wanting to smack DH into the next room because he seems to be moody himself!

Gunpowder · 15/02/2015 19:47

I didn't want to go out for dinner with DH the night before, really wanted to stay at home. I also ironed every set of bed linen we own (I barely iron shirts usually), and pulled our huge bed away from the wall so I could Hoover under it and clean the skirting boards. Am normally quite slatternly, have never cleaned skirting boards before in my life.

My waters broke that night, that was the first physical sign.

Hey ladies, thanks for the replies. It is my first baby yes- I know some people say you're more likely to go over with your first (apparently). I feel it's looking that way.... Xx
