PGP?

I've been passing off my bum/hip/leg pain and weakness as sciatica over the last few days but Dr Google suggests it might be PGP. Can anyone suggest who I need to see about it? Do I just book to see my GP? It's getting bad enough that it takes my breath away whenever I move and driving is horrid when moving to the brake peddle which is the bit that's worrying me most!

Thanks!!

Yup GP can refer you to a physio to give you supports and exercises to help with the pain. They usually fast track you since you're pg, but in the meantime this leaflet (from an NHS trust) has some exercises you can try

or here

I had it first time round and the exercises did help. Hope you can get it to a manageable point.

You might be able to self refer - you can in my area. If you do this you need to ask to see a women's health physio. You may have to see a normal physio first and then get referred on - depends how it works where you are.

You may need to push for a referral to the right person and be sure they don't fob you of with a sciatica diagnosis before you've seen a specialist.

Take a look at the Pelvic partnerships website too.

I had a thread on here a week or so ago which has some great tips from other MN'ers. I was in a bad way but have been putting these tips into action and this week it seems to have settled down a little.
