I'm 29 weeks & hurt everywhere pretty much all the time -upper back, low back, hips, around my ribs & soles of my feet. I'm trying just keep going & I'm still doing yoga & walking plus household things like hoovering mopping etc, but on more than one occasion I've been in tears just due to the amount pain. I just feel like my whole body is stiff & I'm really down that I'm feeling like this as I'm normally a really active person.

Sounds to me like you're doing too much. Just relax and rest.

I think you need to stop doing as much, don't push through the pain - it won't help. I have developed pelvic/hip pain (33w now) and find that being too active is not helpful. I am also normally quite active so it is hard. No point making yourself worse though. When it's bad try some paracetamol/warm bath.

I'm 28 week and saw the midwife about pains yesterday. It's your body's way of telling you to slow down and rest more. I got told off because I was doing to much. Yesterday did nothing at all and lay in bed watching tele all night and this morning I feel great! Grin

You need to rest. It's not forever, just a matter of weeks. Don't worry, once the baby is here you'll be able to get back to your normal level of activity, but for the moment you need to sit down, delegate the hoovering and mopping, and do your shopping online.

I beg to differ!
Once baby is here you my be in more pain. I speak from experience. So yes, listen to your body and slow down.
There was way too much emphasis on keeping active when I was pregnant and I thought I could do a lot. I guess because many see it as an excuse to be lazy.
But one year after having my baby I still can't get back to a healthy weight. I am skinny and weak.
Pregnancy and birth is a huge toll on the body. Look after yourself and get checked out just in case.
