Hi ladies,

I'm 37 weeks and for the past two days I've had diarrhoea but no other symptoms of a tummy bug or anything...

Any ideas why this could be?

I'm 35+3 & I've had diarrhoea pretty much constantly for 3 weeks!! But I'm not Ill. I do remember having IT quite frequently towards the end with my 1st too (this is #3) I hate it, it's so annoying but I dont know what I can do about it other than put up with it till the end :(

I feel for you Emvy1985!!! It's only been 2 days and I feel horrible so can't imagine how you must be feeling after 3 weeks!

I've been having BH and a few period cramps all week....fatigue like the first trimester has set in again and today I've been ridiculously over emotional! I'm not enjoying this stage of the pregnancy because I feel like I'm over analysing every little symptom thinking I'm going in to labour but at the same time I keep getting upset thinking she's never going to come! Argh!

I think the end is the worst part, people say it's the first 12 weeks with all the sickness & tiredness etc but that parts always been a breeze for me compared to the end!

Have to say increasing cramps plus diarrhoea would make me think labour is imminent. That's certainly how the 24 hours or so before established labour went with my last one.Good luck!!

Oh god yes the horrible toilet trips & now lower back pain. I'm currently 37+4 & have felt absolutely normal for the past few months but I swear as soon as I hit 37 weeks my body has given up. I feel gross to be quite honest.

Hoping to get to my due date though ??

Good luck xxx

It's your body's way of getting rid of anything you don't need before the big day :) the big clean out I call it!!

M1985 · 14/02/2015 17:04

Lots of people told me they had it before labour as a 'clear out' type thing but it doesn't always mean anything,
I had it for weeks with my first, from about 32 wks and she was still two weeks late!!

I think I've figured out the cause of mine!
Rennies! Op are you taking any antacids for acid indigestion? I've been reading up and if they contain magnesium, which rennies do they're a big cause of diarrhoea!

Emor88 · 14/02/2015 19:50

Thanks everyone! Glad to know I'm not the only one out there with embarrassing toilet problems at the moment!

I do take antacids actually so that's really useful to know thank you! I'll see if easing off them helps at all!
