Third trimester scan

Anyone had private third trimester scan done?

I am looking for a place in London. Mostly I care to check the baby is doing well I know FMC is great and had there great experience myself on 10 and 12w scans.

I heard they are checking the flows in placenta and generally their scans are great.

I would also like to have some 3D view if possbile but not sure if FMC can provide 3D view as they are more medical.

I am also considering Babybond 4D scan but that seems to be just bonding scan and not very medical.

I dont need to have 20 min of 3D/4D view. When I went to a fetal medicine specialits for my 20w scan at the end he turned on the 3D just to see the baby literally for a minute or two. I would be happy with that.

Where did you go and what are your recommendations? Does FMC in general gives some 3D/4D?

I had a growth scan through baby bond at 33 weeks. She checked all of the baby's measurements, the volume of amniotic fluid and a Doppler scan to check blood flow/placenta. She then showed us the baby in 4d and we got some lovely 3d prints. Interestingly, the sonographer was the same woman who did my 12 week NHS scan (obviously moonlighting) which reassured me that they were qualified xx

Our sonographer at Babybond (who is also an NHS sonographer like Pink's) told us that she always looks for medical issues, no matter what type of scan you actually book. With DD1 I had a sexing scan at 16 weeks and she essentially went through everything they would at the 20 week anomaly scan you get through the NHS. The night before our scan I was fretting and DP actually said 'um you know half these things you're worried about were already checked at the sexing scan' Grin. Clearly I was distracted!!

Only thing I'd say about any third trimester scan is not to leave it too late unless there are concerns. I had a scan at 38 weeks because her movement was limited and triage weren't able to have me in for monitoring probably because I was being a ridiculous worry wart and we could barely see anything because she was all squished up. Even the sonographer implied it was a waste of time for anything other than reassurance she was okay.
