18 weeks but my midwife says I'm 20 weeks?

I am 18 weeks, 19 weeks Thursday, my midwife felt my stomach and said I feel 20 weeks but I have already gone to my 12 week scan, so I should be 18 weeks 19 weeks Thursday? Soo confused? Is my baby big for how many weeks he/she is??

It's impossible to say without hearing more of your conversation with the midwife.

From something I read last week, they never re-date you after your 12 week scan, because that's the most accurate point to date you. Did she mention changing your EDD or was it just a passing comment?

Surely your dates can only be 2 weeks wrong if you had very erratic periods?

Pregnancies are never redated agree the 12 week scan as that's the most accurate time to measure.

Did she say it in a 'ooh you're measuring quite big' general way or did she specifically say she thinks your dates must be wrong? If the former, it's quite normal to measure slightly bigger/smaller.

I was measuring 4 weeks big so MW sent me for a scan. Baby was a bit big (1 half weeks) but still within the normal range.
