i am 19+4 weeks pg with baby no 5.i have suffered from pih in all my previous pregnancies and know that one of the symptoms is headaches.however, the earliest my bp went up was at 28 weeks in my last pg.
i am worried, now ,as i have had a severe headache since friday evening which isnt going away, even with paracetamol.
i dont remember gatting very bad headaches this early before in previous pregnancies,i just wondered if it is normal and if anybody else has suffered in this way?
i am going to go to the doctors and get my bp checked tomorrow anyway, but i just need to hear im worrying about nothing iyswim

I got the worst headaches I've ever had both times i was pg. IIRC I got them around 15 - 18 weeks each time. A midwife told me that as well as taking paracetamol, to make sure i was drinking plenty of water as dehydration can cause headaches.

HTH and hope the headache shifts soon xx

I have had severe headaches althrough my first pg and this one i have had a few aswell, it's always best to get them checked whatever stage your out but you will probably be fine mine have always turned out to be dehydration or something else.

In fact the time i did have pre eclampsea i had no headache at all. but good on you getting yourself checked.

I had headaches around 16 weeks for about 2-3 weeks, they are very normal and are usually referred to as hormonal headaches. However, try and rule our bp first.

I had awful headaches from week 16 until my dd was born. Nothing worked on them at all. Nearly got signed off sick, they were really debilitating. I used to come home from work and go and lie in a darkened room.
They went away a bit when I started maternity leave. Hope this helps. Still have them now sometimes, but that is due to chronic sleep deprivation.
