NO JUDGEMENTS PLEASE!

which are you planning on doing and why?

I'm planning to breastfeed, but have had trouble in the past so I've got everything I need to bottle feed just in case.

I planned to breastfeed DS. He had a posterior tongue tie that no one picked up on even though I said in the hospital he wasn't latching properly. I then said the same to the midwife at home two days later (on a Friday) and that I was convinced he wasn't getting enough milk - she told me not to worry and all was fine. After the weekend he ended up in hospital with jaundice and dehydration - I should have trusted myself but as a first time mum I listened to the midwives.

If any of you feel like I did, please push it! He was very ill, was in hospital for a week under lamps with me sleeping by his cot and his heart stopped at one point and he had to be resusitated. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

After that I swapped to expressed breast milk for a month and then when my sanity couldn't take any more of being sat on the sofa permanently feeding or expressing, I moved to formula.

This time, I will try to breastfeed but if it doesn't work I will have NO PROBLEM moving to formula quickly.
