reduced movement??

hi im 19 + 6 and i had a cervical stitch put in 3 days ago, i felt movement thursday and friday but ive hardly felt anything today, this is fairly normal for 19 weeks isnt it?

Yes I think that would be normal at this early stage. I know with this pregnancy I had a few days aroud that time where I didn't feel much. If you have any concerns though do ring the hospital or midwife so they can reassure you or check you if needs be.

Please call your
Midwife now or go to your local hospital to be checked.

I remember at about 20 weeks i would get days where i didnt feel much and got worried, it was just the baby in a different position and she is still so small! But definitely get checked if you are still concerned!

Hi pickle- it's hard to say what's normal at 19 weeks because what's normal for one person isn't necessarily normal for another. I'm currently at 29+5 and have felt reduced movements twice (once a few weeks ago and the second time, the other morning which resulted in me calling the midwife and driving to hospital at 6am!) thankfully everything was ok but it certainly put my mind at ease. I don't know what I would of done to cope if I didn't get to listen to the heartbeat, and have a midwife monitor movements etc. they are a godsend and are there for you for a reason, so please call them if you do feel worried.
One thing they might ask you to do before they arrange for you to go in, is get a glass of ice cold water and drink all of it without just taking sips. If that makes sense? And lie flat on your back and really try to concentrate on any movements, then move on to your left side if there's still no movements, and do the same again. Please try not to worry, but do use the midwives service as they are excellent, and will always reassure you that you're doing the right thing as that's what they are there for x
