I was taking Gaviscon daily in the late autumn and run up to Xmas (so approx weeks 26-34 or so) and then it was fine for about a month, and quite suddenly I am chucking it back a few times a day again! I presumed the heartburn went away when the baby dropped but it's still moving further down (2/5 last Thur) so I am wondering why it's come back. Any ideas? Has anyone else had this return?

Im 37 weeks and indegestion has returned with a vengence, I have been told from growth scans baby is big, so maybe that is a reason because baby is right down. My indegestion is worse than before and I didnt get much of a break. Sorry not much help, I dont really have a clue either! x

If anything my indigestion got worse as baby engaged and I even still had it a couple of times the week after I gave birth, although very mild. I wouldn't worry about it!

Yeh I'm the same, I thought yes it's gone but it came back about 2 weeks ago and now its constant :(
my bump is very compact and figure the baby has nowhere else to go but back up into my ribs... 40 +3 and getting desperate for relief now!

My heartburn intensified in the fortnight coming up to labour.

Ugh how I hate heartburn!

TheEagle · 06/02/2015 11:00

Oh and from insomniac googling I saw lots of stories where tummy troubles got worse just before labour.

So maybe baby is getting ready to make their appearance Smile

Thanks for comments. Glad it's not just me then (but sorry yr all suffering too!) and I shall just cross my fingers that TheEagle is right and baby arrives soon....
