My darling children have given me an 'orrible tummy bug. Am 12+5 and had my scan yesterday so all is well as of then.

Not vomiting uncontrollably or anything just feel tired and headachy and like my slice of toast to test the waters was a bad idea. Assume I just follow standard procedure and keep hydrated and eat tiny bits when I feel like it? Thank god for nanny doing bedtime is all I can say...

Yes, I think that's all that you can do. So rubbish being pregnant with a bug, always happens with having older children who bring all the germs home! Had one the other week myself so sympathies to you.

If you have d&v for more than 48 hrs give the midwife a call, but as long as you can keep some food down, you'll be fine.

Rotten for you though. Take it easy.

You have my sympathies, I had food poisoning at 16 weeks that lasted 7 days, I did end up at the docs as I was dehydrated but she said there's not much you can do other than let it run its course, she said our bodies are designed to give the baby what it needs from our reserves and that she'd be fine,
As you say keep drinking lots of water and take it easy, I also took the dextrose tablets to replace the sugars you lose which are safe in pregnancy and really helped with the headaches.
